  • I have wild caught brackish tidal waterway mollies, they were caught where sea water comes in at high tide twice a day, in a local fresh water river that flows 12 miles out to the gulf ( St. Marks Fl) the Wakulla river, that comes from an under ground springs at the Wakulla State park in Wakulla county, anyway when my molly’s are ready to have baby’s the extend a very small tube from the anal area, once I see that I put the molly in a fresh water tank in a floating breeder box, once baby’s arrive mom goes back to brackish tank, I put the brackish original parent molly’s in fresh, they had ick about three differant times, drove me crazy, put them in a brackish tank before giving up, turned heater up to 86 degrees for a about two weeks, and trated with a garlic tea tonic, boom no more ick, turned tank back to 82 degrees and six months later no issues, one time my two female gambusia’s ate one female mollies tail & fins, turned up temp to 82 degrees for two weeks and a few garlic tea tonics, fin issues gone, put the female gambusia back in river, the male melanistic dalmation color never bothers my mollys other than trying to breed them, may acclimate
