Which Bed Size Is Best For A Labrador

Expert’s answer:

When it comes to choosing the right bed size for a Labrador, it’s important to consider their weight and size. Labrador Retrievers are generally considered large dogs, so a bed that can accommodate their size and weight is recommended.

Based on the search results, here are some suggested bed sizes for Labradors:

  • Wayfair recommends a large dog bed for dogs between 51 and 100 lbs.
  • The Wirecutter suggests the FurHaven Pet Orthopedic Ultra Plush Lounger as the best dog bed for large dogs.
  • The Foggy Dog provides a size chart that recommends a bed size of 30″ x 40″ or 35″ x 45″ for dogs weighing up to 50-60 lbs or 70-80 lbs, respectively.
  • Kuranda Dog Beds recommends a 40″ x 25″ large bed or a 44″ x 27″ extra-large bed for Labrador Retrievers.

It’s important to note that these are general recommendations, and the specific size of the bed may vary depending on the individual Labrador’s size and preferences. It’s always a good idea to measure your Labrador and consider their sleeping habits before choosing a bed size.

  • I got the Casper bed for my two big dog. Got the biggest size. This is the biggest dog bed I’ve ever seen and it’s amazing. My dogs love to stretch out so it’s perfect. They could both fit if they were just laying down but not on their sides (my dogs are 67 and 78 lbs.). I also LOVE how it comes with a cute big waffle dog toy. I wish they mentioned that. It’s just such a nice touch and makes me want to recommend them to others.

  • This is the kind of article I’ve been looking for, thanks for creating it! I’ve been eyeballing the Furhaven beds on Amazon b/c my dog likes to stretch out and curl up. Her current bed is a giant pillow that she picked out herself at the pet store. While it’s cute, it’s not very supportive for her body.

  • CUTEST. article. EVER. We have a cat, and I would totally get him one of the small beds with the edges because he likes to feel like he’s inside something; maybe Puffy: high sides, scratch-resistant and lifetime warranty. Loved seeing the 🐕 🐶 on the beds!! Potato needs to own the Purple, for sure. Thanks!

  • Giveaway: I love this article thank you for thinking about our fur babies. I have Thor who is a cane corso and king who is a bull massif and buttercup who is a chihuahua. I would go with the puffy for the two big boys especially having a jumbo size. I love this article so much and all the fur babies on article is so cute

  • Giveaway: we have a 9 year old German Shepard and a 4 year old Borzoi (Russian Wolf Hound). The tufft n needle one is interesting since it has tie downs for the insert pillow. The Purple seems a good choice for senior dogs that need more support. After our Borzoi destroyed several beds as a puppy, we now have a K9 Ballistic with tie downs and orthopedic memory foam inside his kennel and his GSD bro sleeps in there at night and the Borzoi stretches out in the 94” wide sofa at night. Yup wish XXL dog beds were more available

  • Hi sir, I’m a working professional living alone and your articles have inspired me to get myself a pup. But i don’t know how I’ll leave the pup alone for 8-10 hours when I’m away for office. My only concern is, the pup would be scared when I’ll be gone and it will cry for a long time. Can you suggest me how to train my pup so that it spends most of the time sleeping when I’m at the office. Also I don’t trust others with my pup so I’m not planning to give my pup to any shelter for the while nor do i want anyone to come to my house for puppy sitting
